Serving Central Beach: The Studio on Your Block
The short answer: If you live in Central Beach, you can walk to us. The studio has stood at 541 Beachland Boulevard since 1984, one block off Ocean Drive and one block off the beach. We are the neighborhood salon in the most literal sense.
Central Beach is our neighborhood
Central Beach runs roughly from 17th Street north to Cache Cay Drive, from Ocean Drive east to the water and west to the Indian River Lagoon. It is a walkable pocket of the barrier island: the Ocean Drive boutiques, Humiston Park, Costa d'Este, the Kilted Mermaid, the Ocean Grill. Many of our earliest clients still live inside those few blocks.
We have watched Central Beach turn over more than once. The people change, the block does not.
You can walk here
If you live between the two bridges on the barrier island, the studio is a walk. If you live in the residential streets between Ocean Drive and A1A, we are five minutes on foot. The main practical implication: if you plan a blowout for a Central Beach lunch or an Ocean Drive shopping errand, we can slot you into a walk-up window if you call ahead.
What Central Beach clients book us for
The Central Beach book is heaviest on maintenance color, precision cuts on a monthly or six-week rhythm, and same-week blowouts before dinners at the beachside restaurants. Bridal is smaller in Central Beach itself than in the broader Vero book because most Central Beach residents are not the wedding demographic.
Coordinating with the Ocean Drive shops
Many Central Beach clients have standing hair appointments that overlap with regular pickups at the Ocean Drive galleries and boutiques. Tell us if you are coordinating and we will keep you moving so you can be at Sassy Boutique or the Ocean Grill on time.
Off-street parking
Parking on Beachland Boulevard fills quickly in season. If you are walking to us anyway, this does not matter. If you are driving from a few blocks west, we have off-street parking and reception can direct you.
