Serving Vero Beach: The Studio on Beachland Boulevard, Since 1984

The short answer: James Geidner Hair Studio has been Vero Beach's salon since 1984. We sit at 541 Beachland Boulevard on the barrier island, five minutes east of downtown across the 17th Street Causeway, and we book clients from every part of Vero: mainland families, downtown professionals, Grand Harbor and Bent Pine golf-community residents, and everyone on the beachside between the two bridges.

The Vero client we know best

Vero splits into two worlds and we work with both. The mainland side moves at a family pace: school runs, weekend soccer at Riverside Park, Publix runs off 43rd Avenue. Mainland clients typically book Tuesday and Thursday during school hours. The beachside side is quieter, older on average, and more seasonal, with clients booking mornings around Ocean Drive shopping or a lunch at the Ocean Grill.

We treat both books the same at the chair, but reception schedules them differently. Tell us which side of the Indian River Lagoon you live on when you book and we will match you to a time that actually fits your day.

Getting to Beachland Boulevard

Downtown Vero, five to seven minutes east on 17th Street across the Alma Lee Loy Bridge, then north on A1A. Grand Harbor or Bent Pine, ten to fifteen minutes east on 17th or 20th Street. Central Beach and everything between the two bridges, walking distance. In season the Merrill P. Barber Bridge backs up on Friday afternoons. If you are coming from the north end of the mainland after 3 pm, take 17th Street instead.

What Vero clients book us for

Precision cuts and color are the everyday work. Bridal is heavy year-round because Vero is a wedding destination for family from the Northeast and Midwest. Brazilian Blowout climbs every May through September as humidity settles in and stays. Snowbird color-continuity work fills November through April on the beachside side of the book.

McKee, Riverside, and event weeks

Riverside Theatre gala nights and McKee Botanical Garden wedding weekends run on a Vero-specific calendar. If your event is on either calendar, tell us at booking. We block trials for McKee weddings on the Thursday before, not the day before, because barrier island traffic across the 17th Street Causeway on wedding-day mornings is unpredictable.
