The short answer: Orchid Island is a gated barrier island community north of Wabasso Beach, home to about a thousand residences on nine hundred acres. The drive to the studio is fifteen minutes down A1A. Our Orchid Island book is heavily seasonal and structured around the Golf and Beach Club's calendar.
The Orchid Island calendar shapes our week
The Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club runs a full social calendar from November through April: club dinners, tournaments, holiday events, the winter charity season. We know which weeks are heavy on that calendar and we hold appointment slots the mornings of major evenings.
If you are on the Orchid Island member list, tell us the event date at booking. We will hold you the morning of, not the day before, because same-day styling holds better through a long evening than day-before styling does.
The A1A drive from Orchid Island
Fifteen minutes south from the Orchid Island gate down A1A. Off-season it can be twelve. Season adds five to eight on some afternoons, especially south of Winter Beach Road on the return.
What Orchid Island clients book us for
Two things dominate: color continuity for snowbird clients who split time between here and a northern residence, and event-week styling around the club calendar. Color continuity is where we do our best work. If you have a northern colorist, bring the formula on your first visit. We hold your file year-round.
Brazilian Blowout is popular from May forward, particularly for members who plan to swim heavily through the summer. If you are traveling most of the summer, we time the treatment for the week before you leave, not the week after you return.
