Serving Port Saint Lucie: A Forty-Minute Drive North Worth Making
The short answer: Port Saint Lucie is roughly forty minutes south of us. Our PSL book comes from four distinct communities: St. Lucie West, Tradition, PGA Village, and the older neighborhoods east toward the river. Each has a different pattern, and we schedule them differently.
Four PSL communities, four different books
St. Lucie West clients work in the office corridor and book after-work Tuesday and Thursday. Tradition clients are largely families and empty nesters who book weekday mornings. PGA Village clients skew retiree and seasonal, book by season, and hold the same slot year over year. The older east-side neighborhoods off US-1 tend to be more everyday-maintenance.
When you book, tell us which community you are coming from. It changes drive-time expectations and, honestly, changes how long we should schedule the visit for.
I-95 versus US-1
From Tradition and St. Lucie West, I-95 north to exit 147 (Indrio Road) then east to A1A is roughly forty to forty-five minutes. From PGA Village or the eastern communities, US-1 north is closer to fifty. Both slow down through the Fort Pierce corridor on Friday afternoons.
Why PSL clients drive up
PSL has grown fast enough that the salon options have grown with it. Our PSL clients typically came to us after trying the local options and deciding they wanted a colorist with more consultation time and a written formula on file. Once they made the drive once, most kept it.
Half-day visits are the norm
Because the drive is a real commitment, most PSL clients book longer visit blocks that combine two or three services in one appointment. Root touch-up, gloss, and Brazilian Blowout in one afternoon is a common PSL combination. Tell reception at booking and we will schedule the block.
