Serving Stuart: An Hour North for the Right Colorist

The short answer: Stuart is close to an hour south of us. Our Stuart book divides between downtown Stuart residents, Sailfish Point island residents, and the professional community around the Roosevelt Bridge and East Ocean Boulevard. All of them made an active decision to drive an hour, and we treat the appointment accordingly.

Three Stuart books, three patterns

Downtown Stuart clients often build a Vero day around the visit: lunch at the Ocean Grill or Costa d'Este, an errand run through Central Beach, and back down before rush hour. Sailfish Point clients tend to make it a proper island-to-island day with sea-side lunch on either end. The East Ocean Boulevard corridor is more transactional: color appointment, then home.

All three want the same thing from the chair. Where they differ is on scheduling — we hold longer blocks for the first two and tighter blocks for the third.

The route north

Sailfish Point residents cross the Ernest Lyons Bridge and take A1A up through Hutchinson Island for the scenic route, or US-1 through Jensen Beach and Fort Pierce for the fast one. Downtown Stuart is more consistent on US-1. Anything on the west side of the Roosevelt Bridge is faster on I-95 up to exit 147.

Fifty minutes on a quiet Tuesday morning. Closer to sixty-five on a Friday afternoon in season.

What Stuart clients book us for

Color continuity, especially for clients who split time between Stuart and a northern residence. Bridal is not a large category from Stuart because there are strong local options, but the referrals we do get are usually for events where the client wants a specific stylist she has known for years.

Coordinating with lunch

The Vero beachside restaurants take reservations that fill quickly in season. If your appointment is around a lunch, book the restaurant first and the appointment around it. We would rather move a service block by thirty minutes than have you rushing back to Stuart mid-afternoon.

How to book

Call 772-492-8440 or book through Phorest. Because the drive is real, we recommend booking two or three weeks out and setting the block for a full service morning or afternoon.
