Babylights Sebastian, FL | James Geidner Hair Studio
Babylights for Sebastian Guests
Sebastian guests usually take A1A south, cross the Wabasso Bridge, and pull into Beachland Boulevard in roughly eighteen minutes — twenty-two if it's a Saturday and you stopped at Capt Hiram's.
Micro-fine highlights for the softest, most natural lift.
Babylights are the finest highlights we paint — pieces so delicate they mimic the natural sun-lightening that happens when you spend a summer outdoors. Done well, babylights are nearly impossible to spot as artificial; they just brighten the overall tone.
Babylights are a precision technique that needs an experienced colorist. Senior color specialist Jean Geidner and 2021 Colorist of the Year James Geidner handle the technique.
Many of our longest-standing color clients live up in Sebastian and have been driving in for years. Babylight pricing typically runs $180 to $300 depending on placement and length.

Babylights are the most natural looking highlight technique in the book. Ultra fine, painted into very small sections, the result is a baby soft transition that looks like the way kids' hair lightens in the summer. They take longer than traditional foils because there are more of them, and the result is worth every extra minute.
Our studio sits at 541 Beachland Boulevard on the Vero Beach barrier island, about 20 minutes north from Sebastian. We see clients from Roseland, Sebastian Highlands, and Wabasso every week, and we have built our babylights service around the realities of living in this part of Florida. Salt water, humidity, sun, and pool chlorine all change how a service performs, and we plan around them.
Why Clients From Sebastian Trust Us With Babylights
Babylights live or die by precision. Sections that are too thick will look stripey. Sections that are too random will not catch light correctly. We have been doing this technique since before it had a name. James earned Colorist of the Year in 2021 partly on this kind of detailed foil work.
James Geidner has been behind the chair for over four decades, and he earned Colorist of the Year in 2021. The team carries his standards forward. Every client gets a real consultation, a real plan, and a real follow up. Sebastian is a fishing town with deep roots and a tight-knit community, and our clients there expect us to know what works for the way they actually live.
What This Service Actually Includes
Babylights are a foil highlight technique using very small, very fine sections to create a soft, natural sun-kissed effect. The transition is so soft that the grow out line is almost invisible, which makes them low maintenance and easy to live with for clients who do not want to be in the salon every six weeks.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Babylights take longer than a standard foil service, usually three to four hours start to finish depending on the density and length of your hair. You will sit through the foil application, processing, rinse, toner, and finishing blowout. The result is bright, fine, beautifully blended highlights that grow out gracefully.
Driving From Sebastian
The studio is located at 541 Beachland Boulevard on the barrier island in Vero Beach, about 20 minutes north from Sebastian down US-1 South. Parking is easy and the studio is on the ground level, no stairs. We schedule appointments to flow comfortably so a drive from Sebastian never feels rushed at the end of the day.
If you are coming from Roseland, Sebastian Highlands, and Wabasso, the route is straightforward and traffic outside of season is light. We have many regular clients who make this drive every six to twelve weeks because the work is worth the trip.
Frequently Asked Questions About Babylights in Sebastian
Are babylights better than balayage?
Different. Balayage is hand painted onto the surface for a softer, lower maintenance result. Babylights are foiled for brighter, more saturated lift. We often combine the two.
How long do babylights last?
Because the highlights are so fine, the grow out is very gentle. Most babylight clients come back every 10 to 14 weeks. A toner refresh in between keeps tone fresh.
Are babylights good for fine hair?
Yes. The fine sections create dimension without making fine hair look stripey or over-processed.
Can babylights cover gray?
They can blend gray very effectively. For full gray coverage, we add single process color underneath the babylights.
How is the price set?
Pricing depends on density, length, and starting color. We will give you a clear quote at consultation before any color goes on your hair.

My babylights are so soft and natural that my friends ask if I just got back from vacation. The grow out is invisible.
Jennifer, client from the Sebastian area
I tried babylights at another salon and they came out striped. James and his team did it right and my hair has never looked better.
